About us
Lofi Alumni came onto the Lofi Hip Hop Music scene in 2023, guided by a mission to create authentic beats that embody the laid-back and positive vibes of the genre, while simultaneously improving our day to day living conditions through philanthropic endeavors. Founded by Ray Santos (aka Cloud E Daze) in Springfield, Ohio, Lofi Alumni is dedicated to sharing Lofi Hip Hop with a global audience while continuously enhancing the experience for fans of the genre.
At the heart of Lofi Alumni's ethos are a set of core values that shape every aspect of the label's operations. With a commitment to fostering genuine connections, philanthropic endeavors, and promoting positive change in the world, Lofi Alumni strives to elevate the Lofi music community through acts of goodwill and support for artists.
Our vision
As our community grows, our long term vision is to become a well known and respected entity within the Lofi Hip Hop Music community, as well as to be proactively engaged in utilizing our music as a force of positive change in the world through collaboration with environmental charity organizations.
To help accomplish our vision, our music be available on all the well known streaming platforms, and additonally we will expanding our music beyond the popular streaming platforms and exploring cutting edge and emerging musical technologies and platforms.

As Ray grew into a young adult, he discovered his love of DIY music production and used to spend hours creating and recording songs on his home computer using programs like Reason 1 and Sonic Foundry Acid, in a time before the social media era.
He settled down, got married, and became a father to 3 wonderful children. Upon the birth of his second child, he made the choice to pack up his home music studio to make room for the baby, and for several years, he found himself without much time for his pursuit of his musical passion, between his family life and his management jobs.
However, he found his way back to music production in 2019, when his friends Mark and Rashad invited him to their music studio. They were a two-person producer team known as the Tempo Godz. They introduced Ray to the Ableton music software and helped him immensely in returning to his musical journey.
Ray worked closely with the Tempo Godz for a few years, as well as doing production for acts such as Exit 54, Savage Ax, Bankroll Bombsquad, and DJ 840. But as time went on, Ray realized that he what really enjoyed making most was nostalgic sounding 90s hip hop beats and that while he enjoyed making music with others, it was taking too much time away from his family, so he started producing lofi hip hop beats in a small Bedroom studio in his home.

Cloud E Daze
The Lofi Alumni brand was originally created in 2023 by Ray Santos in Springfield, Ohio USA and was first introduced as an artist account, but the intention was always to expand the account into a record label.
The name Lofi Alumni was carefully chosen for this reason, as it could refer to any number of individuals working together to share the positive vibes of lofi hip hop music with the world.
Ray Santos, Founder of Lofi Alumni, has always had a passion for music and DIY music production. He musical journey began many years ago in elementary school, which is when he started playing the bass in the school orchesta.
He has also loved hip hop from an early age, even in an environment that didn't always understand or appreciate his love for the genre. In fact, he was once grounded as a child when his mother discovered his collection of bootleg cassette tapes that included rappers like Too Short, NWA, and Big Daddy Kane.
