For over 40 years, rogerpin has been crafting music that transcends boundaries and speaks to the soul. The name rogerpin is simple yet meaningful, derived from the initials of Rogerio Pinheiro’s first and last name. This straightforward approach reflects the artist’s grounded nature and focus on letting the music speak for itself. rogerpin’s musical journey began in Espírito Santo, Brazil, where he grew up in a family filled with music. This nurturing environment encouraged him to explore a variety of instruments from a young age, laying the foundation for his future career. With decades of professional experience, Roger Pin is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass, keyboards, and percussion. His formal education at the Music College of Espírito Santo further enriched his skills and deepened his understanding of the art form.
Roger Pin’s creative process is rooted in both tradition and technology. In his home studio, he records acoustic and MIDI instruments using REAPER, his trusted Digital Audio Workstation. His songs come to life through a careful balance of precision and intuition, reflecting his years of experience and dedication. In this EP, Rogerio was honored to have the special participation of Antônio Marcílio and João Vinícius, both friends, and musicians he deeply admires. While his workflow may adapt to modern tools, his philosophy remains timeless: music is a process that requires patience, effort, and persistence. “Today, we live in a 'plug and play' world, but music is not like that. The result will only come through a lot of perspiration,” he explains.
